The Annual Tournaments organised by the Club
We stage a number of tournaments during the course of the year. (Some are are for club members and invited guests only.)
Club members are expected to give assistance with the tournament the day before as well as on the day.
Many other clubs hold tournaments throughout the year, you can find out about these either through the Match Secretary who produces an email newsletter or on the Club notice board.
Tournaments are mainly held on Sundays - the outdoor season runs from spring until autumn after that the indoor season begins with the club shooting indoors.
Most tournaments last all day allowing for shooting, raffle and presentation of awards. It is polite to stay for the prize giving.
Dress regulations apply, you will be expected to wear club colours or some combination of bottle green and white. Before the shoot you should check the target list which will tell you the target number on which you will be shooting and who you will be shooting with. You should try to arrive well before assembly time to allow time to set up your equipment. You will need to book in on arrival with your Archery GB membership card.
Entering our Tournaments
Please use the Electronic Entry Form to make an on-line entry.
Indoor Tournament Cancelled
Due to miscommunication with the venue, the indoor tournament of the 12th of November 2017 regrettably has been cancelled. Refunds to those already entered will be issued as soon as possible via cheque. If you entered online and did not give your post address, please email your post address to email@example.com . As our tournament organiser is currently on holiday refunds can't be processed until a list of entries and addresses has been made available to the treasurer. Please be patient, we will sort this out as soon as we can.
Flyers for our tournaments are available from this website as Adobe Acrobat "PDF" files. These can also be used for making postal entries to the tournaments but the use of the electronic entry form is preferred. A printed copy of the flyers can be obtained from the Tournament Organiser by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope.
The target list showing who is shooting on which target is not normally finalised until the day before the tournament, but a provisional version will usually be available here in the week before the tournament:
The full results of our tournaments will be posted here as soon after the event as possible, usually within a couple of hours of the end of the shoot.
